Have you ever had one of those nights where you planned a super-healthy, low-carb dinner, but you really need those carbs? I’m talking about either hitting your macros or just feeding your soul. Sometimes, you need a quick easy bread using simple ingredients. That’s where 3-ingredient beer bread muffins come into play.

These are really simple. It’s just Bisquick, beer, and a little bit of sugar. And man, are they good! They’re even good if you decide to leave out the sugar (because I know you were wondering). The thing is, beer gets a little bitter when you bake it. The sugar negates that bitter tone so all you get is a soft, delicious, and yes, sweet roll.
Muffin Pan or Drop
I make these in a muffin pan because that’s how my mom taught me, but the batter is thick enough you could do them as drop biscuits, too. Up to you. The muffin pan gives your muffins a structure so they get tall and puffy. That’s just fun!
My mom and her mom used to make beer bread muffins all the time when I was growing up. It goes great with chili, pepper steak, or really any hearty meal. Any time you’re concerned that there won’t be enough food to go around, this is a great recipe to pull out of the box.
Can I Give My Kids Beer Bread?
Now, I’m sure you’re wondering if these are safe for kids. The general consensus when you search if beer bread is safe for kids to eat is that alcohol burns off when you bake it. Alcohol evaporates at 172ºF (Source).
It’s also important to consider that some sources say alcohol does not fully burn off for several hours at high heat. With that in mind, consider that a 12-ounce beer is split across 12 servings. At 1 ounce of beer per muffin that will mostly cook off in the oven, there should be no concern about letting your children eat these muffins.
And that’s really it. I’m going to keep this post super short because if you’re looking at a quick bread recipe, you probably need to get moving, right? I just ask two things:

These are super yummy! So simple, just remember to not let the beer boil. Just warm it up. Ours is usually cold, so we warm it, but room temperature will work if you have it.

Yeah! Thanks for sharing. I microwaved it in a glass measuring cup for 30 seconds.
